AYUNTAMIENTO DE ÓRGIVA

La delegada de Agricultura, Carmen Lidia Reyes, asegura que “cumplimos con una demanda histórica de los municipios de Órgiva y Cáñar El alcalde asegura que las obras “acabarán con los asentamientos ilegales en la zona y evitarán el efecto llamada”

La delegación territorial de la Consejería de Agricultura, Pesca, Agua y Desarrollo Rural ha acometido la limpieza del cauce en el paraje de Beneficio de Órgiva, según ha anunciado su titular, Carmen Lidia Reyes, quien ha destacado que «la Junta cumple así con una demanda histórica de los municipios de Órgiva y Cañar».

La actuación, con un presupuesto de más de 50.000 euros, consiste en el acondicionamiento de la zona y la limpieza del cauce del río de este paraje, un cauce que era usado como extenso aparcamiento y zona de acampada estacional y permanente en algunos casos, que planteaba problemas de residuos, riesgo de incendios, de exposición a avenidas y que plantea numerosas tomas ilegales de agua del arroyo.

La actuación consiste en la construcción de una escollera de piedra natural en la margen izquierda y en el límite del dominio público hidráulico para, además de la protección de avenidas, evitar el acceso de vehículos al cauce. Además, se plantarán medio centenar de árboles y 150 arbustos autóctonos de ribera en la zona que antes se usaba de aparcamiento.

Según la delegada, «esta actuación es viable medioambientalmente y contribuye a la renaturalización del cauce, como está ubicada en el Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada y en vía pecuaria, se ha informado a la delegación territorial de Sostenibilidad, Medio Ambiente y Economía Azul y están colaborando en el proyecto». Las obras conllevan el desalojo definitivo del paraje de Beneficio.

El alcalde de Órgiva, Raúl Orellana, ha señalado que «se cumple así con una demanda histórica que desde el Ayuntamiento teníamos con nuestro municipio». Asimismo ha incidido en que «nuestra pretensión es la de acabar con los asentamientos de nuestro municipio evitando crear espacios ilegales y un efecto llamada».

El primer edil ha añadido que «a través del Ayuntamiento estamos prestando todo el apoyo posible y hemos puesto a disposición de la administración autonómica los medios humanos y materiales de los que disponemos para la retirada de escombros de la zona».
